BREAKING: Scarlit Scandal weds boyfriend in midweek ceremony

Former AVN Best New Starlet was “naive” and “lost” before meeting bartender-turned-performer

When adult star Scarlit Scandal walked into the West Hollywood club Heart last spring, a bartender named Chris caught one glimpse of her and turned to his co-worker behind the counter.

"See that girl right there?" Chris said as he pointed toward Scandal. "I'm going to marry her one day."

Nearly one year later, Chris made good on that promise.

Shortly after 3 on Wednesday afternoon, one of the most popular performers in the industry came off the market when Scarlit and Chris exchanged vows in a makeshift chapel at the Beverly Hills Courthouse.

An intimate gathering of family and friends witnessed the marriage, which followed a one-month engagement. A "little shindig," as Scandal termed it, was held after the ceremony at Heart, where everything began.

Scandal—who in 2021 captured AVN's coveted Best New Starlet award—says she was "going down a very bad path" before Chris came into her life last spring.

"I was basically the stereotypical porn girl," Scandal, 23, told PornCrush after Wednesday's ceremony. "I was a rager. I was a partier. I was surrounding myself with the wrong people. I was very naive. I was lost.

"When I met him, it was like a light shining into my life that I never knew I needed. He brought me happiness. He brought me peace."

Chris, 34, grew up in France and spent 10 years in Paris before moving to Los Angeles six years ago.

"He introduced me to the more spiritual side of things," Scandal says. "He helped me get closer to God. Ever since I met him, he's only brought positive things. I've done a whole 360. He's the biggest blessing that ever walked into my life."

Scandal chuckles as she tells the story of her first encounter with Chris, who abandoned his bar duties at Heart for five minutes to dart upstairs to Scandal's VIP table and introduce himself.

"He gave me his number—and I lost it," she laughs.

A few weeks later, Scandal made it a point to return to Heart to find Chris. They chatted extensively that evening, and they shared their first kiss as the night was winding down.

"I was a loner before I met her," Chris says. "I hadn't had a relationship for about a year-and-a-half. I was trying to find myself. I wanted to find love within myself without being with anyone. I wasn't trying to fill the gap with someone else."

Chris says the fact that Scandal was a porn star gave him brief pause—but it wasn't a deterrent.

"It was a challenge for me to learn and understand the difference between love and sex," he says. "I've learned how not to take anything personal. It has nothing to do with you. Just get over it. She literally brought my 'ego death,' which is what I'd been asking for. It's what I needed. I put my ego to the side and became a better person."

In fact, six months later, Chris decided to enter the porn industry, too. He signed a contract with Motley Models—the agency that represents Scandal—and began shooting for studios in 2023.

"I have my own morals and values in life," he says. "I wasn't a judgmental person, but we always judge the choices people are making, even if we don't realize it.

"I had to put that on the side. I was like, 'You know what? I don't care. I've found love.' I wanted us to build something together. Whatever I thought (about porn) before doesn't matter anymore. I wanted to put myself in her shoes so I could understand how she feels. It was a big, big step for me."

The fact that Wednesday's ceremony was small and intimate didn't make it less beautiful and meaningful. Among the attendees was Lexi Love, a makeup artist for Brazzers who has been close with Scandal for years.

"I met her when I first got into the industry," Scandal says. "She watched me blossom. I always told her, 'You have to do my makeup when I get married.' The day came, and I was so happy to be there. I was so happy to see her."
